Friends and Family Test

Friends and Family Test

Following on from the responses to the July Friends and Family Test:-

– We have received several comments about the wearing of face masks when visiting the Surgery. We are currently following national NHS guidance, which is that face masks should be worn in an NHS setting. Please can we ask any patients visiting the Surgery to bring a face mask with them to wear whilst in the Surgery.

– We have had several requests to tidy up the appearance of our surgeries – we are making efforts to maintain our surgeries the best we can. We are in the process of negotiating a new purpose-built surgery in Tetbury and are working towards the same in Cirencester. Maintenance of non-purpose-built premises can prove difficult especially with the age of some of our properties.

– We have had several requests for more face-to-face appointments – face-to-face appointments are available, but our booking process is now different. We have a triage system in place where the patient speaks to the GP first and a face-to-face appointment is then arranged, if required.

– We have had several comments about our phone system – we recently changed our telephone provider, and it has taken a while for the new system to settle in. We have made changes to the queuing system of calls, which we hope will make some improvement. We have also sent out details of the average number of calls we have been receiving and when it is better to phone with routine queries.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to respond to the Friends and Family Test.
